(Correspondant Wan binbin) Zhao Hui, the deputy secretary of CUC, was invited to the 60th anniversary of Shin Hsin University(SHU) and the 7th World’s Women University Presidents Forum from October 12th to 18th.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of Shin Hsin University. Zhao Hui,the deputy party secretary of CUC, on behalf of CUC, has given her congratulations to the 60th anniversary of SHU, which is the sister university of CUC. She hoped that the friendship between our two universities could be long-lasting and gets more fuitful achievements.
Zhao Hui, the deputy party secretary of CUC, also visited SHU’s Research Center of Integrity & Governance and talked with the head of the center, introducing the CUC Integrity Research Center founded in December 2015. After discussions about cooperation in the integrity research and other related subjects, they have reached consensus that there should be more substantive communication and cooperation in order to promote common development.
The theme of the 7th World Women University Presidents Forum is Promoting the Optimization of Global Economy and Society: Choice and Responsibility of the University. Prestigious women presidents from more than ten countries have been invited to the forum. Zhao Hui, the deputy party secretary, has made a speech entitled “Female Leadership and Reformation of Higher Education of Media”. She also held further discussion about how university would function in promoting innovation and transition of society and how women play their roles in higher education.
SHU's ranks top in the field of media university in Taiwan. In 1993, SHU was founded by Mr. Cheng Shewo as Bei Ping College of Journalism. In 1956 the campus was constructed in Taiwan and it was renamed Shin Hsin University in 1997. School of Journalism and Communication has been set up for many years in SHU and has been a leading school and discipline in the field of journalism and communication in private universities in Taiwan.
In November 2008, CUC signed an agreement to exchange students with SHU at three levels of undergraduates, postgraduates and candidates of Phd. In September 2009, SHU became a member of “Media Higher Education International League” initiated by CUC. Over the years, CUC and SHU have positively promoted academic communication and cooperation by exchanging programmes among teachers and students, delegation visits and cooperative studies.
Zhao Hui, the deputy party secretary of CUC, was accompanied to visit SHU by Wan Binbin from Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of CUC.
