More than 200 women university presidents from 33 countries, including Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, South Korea, Turkey, the United States and China, jointly focused on the theme of Strengthening the Global Knowledge Community and Drawing the Future Together. Through online and offline means, gather the strength of the intellectual community and draw the future together.

Guest speeches and keynote speeches were presided over by Chen Weijia, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the World Women University Presidents Forum and former Party Secretary of Communication University of China; keynote speeches were presided over by Chen Naifang, Vice Chairman of the organizing committee of the World Women University Presidents Forum and former President of Beijing Foreign Studies University; interaction and Closing ceremony were presided over by Jiang Hong, Party Secretary of Shantou University. Duan Peng, Vice President of Communication University of China, made a concluding speech at the closing ceremony.

In the guest address, David Julien, Secretary General of the Pan American Association of Higher Education, pointed out that the Pan American Association of Higher Education has been associated with the World Forum of Women University Presidents for more than 10 years.

Zhang Xiuqin, Vice President of China Education Association for International Exchange, delivered a speech.

During the keynote address, Cecilia Paredes, Chair of the Advisory Committee of the Research Project on Women's Leadership in Higher Education in the Americas of the Pan American Association of Higher Education and President of the University of Technology of Ecuador, addressed the issue of global gender equality.

Gulson Salamo, president of the Association of Women Presidents of European Universities and former president of Istanbul University of Technology in Turkey, said that the global knowledge community rebuilt after the novel coronavirus epidemic needs more women's knowledge power, and women face the risk of being marginalized in the knowledge society.

Liu Jinan, chairwoman of the organizing committee of the World Women University Presidents Forum and former President of Communication University of China, said that the world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, and mankind is facing many major problems that need to be faced and solved jointly.

During the keynote session, Huang Ru, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Vice President of Peking University; Marisol Duran, President of Chile's Polytechnic University; Geraldine McKenzie, President of the University of Southern Queensland in Australia; Park Dong-soon, former president of South Korea's Dongseo University and President of the University of Santa Cruz in Bolivia; Laurin Muller, President of the University of Santa Cruz in Bolivia; Six guests including Xu Xuemin, Vice President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, enriched and deepened the theme by focusing on the functions of higher education such as research, teaching, internationalization and community participation.

In the interactive session, Zhou Lina, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the World University Women Presidents Forum, Claudi Arco, Public Relations Manager of the Pan American Association of Higher Education, Yan Zirui, Assistant to the Dean of the Schwarzman School of Tsinghua University, Patricia Hayward, Associate Professor at Northeastern University, Sahar Lehmann, lecturer at Northeastern University, Zhao Xuemei, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, and six other guests spoke respectively.

In his concluding speech at the closing ceremony, Vice President Duan Peng pointed out that we live on the same earth and live in the same home. The global coronavirus pandemic has popularized a new common sense of global connectivity and one destiny.
