On September 26,Europe Sub-Forum of the World Women University Presidents Forum was held at the University of Manchester, UK. More than 100 participants, including university presidents, experts and scholars from 30 countries and regions, attended the forum.

Nancy Rothwell, former Chair of the Russell Group and former President of the University of Manchester, Liu Jinan, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the World Women University Presidents Forum, Chai Jianping, Vice President of Communication University of China, and Norberta Sági, Vice President of János Neumann University in Hungary, delivered speeches successively.
At the forum, Rothwell emphasized in her speech that the University of Manchester will take this forum as an opportunity to continue promoting the development of future education and the improvement of women leadership, further strengthen cooperation with international universities, and continuously serve the Manchester community.

Cao Chengxi, Executive Director of Europe Sub-Forum of the World Women University Presidents Forum, introduced that the World Women University Presidents Forum was initiated in 2001. It aims to build an international platform for exchange, cooperation and wisdom sharing. Over the past 24 years, the forum has successfully held 23 sessions, gathering more than 2,000 female university presidents from 120 countries and regions. It has greatly promoted the development of higher education and the improvement of women leadership.

It is reported that this forum themed Future Education · Women Leadership focused on three major topics: Eurasian Higher Education Dialogue Future Education: Humans and Technology and Women Leadership in a Multicultural Context. The Manchester Declaration was released during the forum.
